Whether you are a second-year undergraduate student seeking an internship, a senior in your final semester beginning your career search process, or a graduate student looking for your first career opportunity, Colony’s DLP and internship opportunities will set you up for success as a future leader and change agent.
By utilizing a 30-week rotational experience program with supplemental classroom instruction during the first year, you will build a strong foundation in the industry leading to long-term career success. As a future business leader at Colony, you will build relationships, learn the hands-on skills to manage a multi-million-dollar business, and contribute to the growth and development of your team and the organization.
As a participant in our Distribution Leadership Program, you will have the opportunity to begin your training experience in a branch location in your desired geographic region, where you will work with some of the most experienced and successful distribution management teams in our industry. The amount of time in each area is determined by your progress and individual performance. We strive to give you the best experience available in this program, benefiting both your and Colony’s goals and objectives. DLP early career professionals will gain experience in:
Full immersion in Colony distribution center and branch operations
Identify needs, create solutions, effect lasting change early in your career
Build customer relationships with our sales, purchasing & marketing teams
Learn business and people strategy from leaders across the Company
Build upon your training through integration with multiple Colony locations
Since joining Colony I’ve had the opportunities and support to grow personally and professionally. In my time the business has grown over 10x and I’ve been fortunate enough to grow right alongside the Company.
