Reporting to the Director of IT and Infrastructure, the Technology Support Specialist will be responsible for supporting end users with a variety of technical issues both software and hardware-related. 

A Little About Your Day: You will: 

  • Receive and respond to incoming phone calls, and/or tickets regarding end-user technical issues and requests.
  • Troubleshoot, identify, and repair hardware and network connectivity issues (WAN)
  • Maintain, diagnose, and troubleshoot problems with Windows operating system and various software applications, file-sharing, telephone, and printing.
  • Administer and resolve issues with associated end-user workstation network software products.
  • Escalate common/recurring issues to senior staff for root-cause resolution. 
  • Leverage and organize user-facing training docs in SharePoint.
  • Update ticketing system tickets appropriately, include all relevant information related to troubleshooting and results.
  • Ensure tickets are completed within agreed SLA’s.
  • Ability to support remote users, and establish VPN and remote desktops for all remote users.
  • Escalate issues to senior staff or appropriate providers when necessary. 
  • Travel to Colony locations in Texas to provide on-site support as needed.

What You’ll Need to Have for Success: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent, and/or 3 years of work experience in a related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of PC and desktop hardware
  • Microsoft certifications; Windows OS, Office suite, and O365 (Or relevant experience!)
  • Basic Networking experience; patching, troubleshooting, and basic configuration.
  • Experience monitoring ticket software, triaging/diagnosing tickets, and routing them to the correct team.
  • Knowledge of the concepts of an enterprise environment (Azure, Active Directory) 
  • Experience supporting users in remote locations/branches throughout the country.
  • Experience collaborating with end-users and colleagues over teams/SharePoint. 
  • Ability to travel throughout Texas to provide on-site support as needed.
