Branch and Estimating & Detailing Manager

Description
A Little About Your Day: You will:
- Open and close the branch daily – open to customers 7am-5pm.
- Work with management to set and achieve P&L goals for the branch.
- Lead inside sales, drivers, warehouse employees, and manage employee hours while supporting their development.
- Assist in the hiring and onboarding of new employees, including interviewing, training, and development.
- Maintain DOT servicing, preventative maintenance, and ongoing maintenance for delivery trucks and all equipment.
- Support outside sales representatives with customer service, project management, and problem solving.
- Coordinate all estimating and detailing for NC rebar shops and communicate with job site and shop personnel, as well as ironworkers, customers, and A/E.
- Facilitate production schedule to meet customer needs and maximize shop productivity.
- Ensure adequate replenishment of inventory to meet production demands (working with purchasing manager) and replenish rebar, bar supports, and accessories for upcoming work.
- Perform routine cycle counts and yearly inventories.
- Monitor fulfillment of sales orders to ensure accuracy in accordance with Jarco standard operating procedures and advise salespeople on aspects of job so they can appropriately quote.
- Manage estimate schedule to ensure estimates are sourced/created in timely manner to meet bid schedule, and communicate effectively with associates and customers in all aspects of the estimating process.
- Source or independently create detailed, accurate placing drawings, and facilitate field placement using CAD programs.
- Verify drawings, dates, specifications, addenda, and other contractual information from the routing report or directly from the business system.
- Identify and develop information required to inform the customer of any changes to the contract - communicate with sales to ensure proper billing of change orders and additional detailing costs, as well as pertinent project info.
- Oversee ongoing maintenance of equipment – overhead cranes, shearline, shear, rebar benders, automated stirrup bender, trucks, forklifts, etc.
- Oversee daily and ongoing housekeeping/maintenance of warehouse, yard, and building grounds.
- Lead and monitor Safety Program.

What You’ll Need to Have for success:- Read and understand construction blueprints to assess required rebar.
- Prior experience as a branch or operations manager, or a similar role with direct reports.
- 5+ years of rebar estimating and detailing experience.
- Proficiency with CAD programs for creating drawings and facilitating field placements.
- Ability to communicate with branch personnel, customers, and engineers.
- Ability to safely lift and manage up to 50 lbs, including heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, climbing up/down trucks, etc.
