 Reporting to the Credit Manager, the Credit Analyst has primary responsibility for the monitoring and maintenance of assigned accounts, including all administrative tasks that ensure timely and accurate collection of monies due to the company. 

A Little About Your Day: You will

  • Make contact through phone calls or e-mails with the customer accounts that are more than ninety days past due from invoice date.
  • Check credit references and fast processing of credit applications in a timely manner, in conjunction with Credit Manager.
  • Resolve any issues communicated by customer that are preventing payment.
  • Provide proof of delivery, packing slips, billing and pricing errors, or any other requests from the customer.
  • Arrange for payment schedules to collect funds on accounts in arrears.
  • Inform Manager of level of exposure over credit line, including recommendations for credit holds.
  • Determine if products are being taxed properly and verifies and rectifies complaints regarding tax issues in a timely manner.
  • Work to achieve DSO set by company.
  • Attend semimonthly department meetings to review their accounts and make informed recommendations on accounts pending credit hold
  • Communicate effectively with sales staff any payment issues regarding customer accounts via pending credit hold notices.
  • Establish and maintains effective and cooperative working relationships with other departments in the organization to facilitate collection of past due balances.

What You’ll Need to Have for success:

  • High School Diploma.
  • College Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field a plus.
  • 5+ years in a corporate collections role.
