Position Summary

To support our continued growth as an organization through the development of the next generation of Colony leaders, we are seeking 20 candidates to participate in our Distribution Leadership Program (DLP) for 2023.

By utilizing a 30-week rotational experience program with supplemental classroom instruction during the first year, Colony Hardware Corporation provides you with a strong foundation in the industry that leads to long-term career success. As a future business leader at Colony, you will be building relationships and learning the hands-on skills to manage a multi-million-dollar business and lead your team to success.

As a participant in our Distribution Leadership Program, you will have the opportunity to begin your training experience in one of our select branch locations, where you will work with some of the most experienced and successful distribution management teams in our industry. The amount of time in each area is determined by your progress and individual performance. We strive to give you the best experience available in this program, benefiting both your and Colony’s goals and objectives. DLP early career professionals will gain experience in:
  • Supply Chain/Warehouse/Logistics/Distribution
  • Operations Management
  • Procurement & Purchasing
  • Marketing
  • Sales –Inside/Outside
  • Data & Pricing
  • Finance/Accounting
The Company will provide financial assistance for you as you move through the program, affording you the opportunity to work in one or more of our branch locations. Upon completion of the training program, associates are placed in full-time positions based on their desires and business needs at the time across our growing network of branch locations. 

At Colony, we care about the welfare of our employees. Our pay and benefits are competitive. DLPs receive a raise after the 30-week program. Performance-based annual raises and bonuses are also part of our corporate compensation program.

Qualifications
  1. A bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Construction Management, Professional Sales, Marketing, or related field is required
  2. Attention to detail mindset
  3. Sense of urgency toward customer service
  4. Must be open to extended travel and relocation
